Staff

Bill James Headteacher

I trained in Southampton and taught initially in Bethnal Green. I then moved back to my home city of Cardiff where I taught for five happy years gaining invaluable experience and responsibility.

I joined the teaching staff of St Joseph’s in 1994 as one of two deputies. Further responsibility and experience followed and I was appointed Headteacher in September 1999. We are one of the largest schools in the Diocese, therefore, it is important we are successful and a shining light for all to see. My job as both Headteacher and Governor is to ensure that this is, in fact, the case. The Governing Body set myself and Mrs McNeill annual targets of achievement and improvement. I am fully accountable to them and, in partnership, we set the standard for future improve.
