Physical Education and Sport

CO-ORDINATOR MISS G CURRY

Physical Education enables pupils’ to become competitive and competent in sport and other physically-demanding activities. It provides opportunities for pupils to become physically confident whilst promoting health and fitness. Providing opportunities for children to compete in sport helps to build character and embed the Olympic and Paralympic values; respect, courage, determination, equality, excellence, inspiration and friendship. Our New scheme of work combines the learning of new skills with the use of these skills in a competitive environment. We have excellent facilities and we our using our PE grant to further develop our teachers skills. This year we will focus our training on developing warm-ups in PE lessons and activities to develop the children’s skills within different sports.
